The aftermovie becomes the new front door
A full-screen film places visitors back inside the festival immediately, shifting the website from announcement mode into a living record of the experience.
THE STORY
A post-festival revamp built to keep Sandbox moving.
After the 2026 festival, Sandbox needed the website to move out of campaign mode and into a clear post-festival chapter.
We refined the existing visual language rather than replacing it. The new experience leads with the aftermovie, documents the artists and the crowd, and gives Sandbox Presents shows and 2027 updates a permanent home.
Merchandise was brought to the forefront. Alongside the main website, we designed and built a sleek, minimal Shopify store that keeps the products and releases in focus while still feeling unmistakably Sandbox.
Both experiences encourage visitors to sign up for merchandise drops, festival updates and event announcements, turning post-festival attention into an ongoing relationship with the brand.
The result is a connected website and store that keeps Sandbox active between festivals and builds momentum towards what comes next.
DESIGN PROCESS
01
A full-screen film places visitors back inside the festival immediately, shifting the website from announcement mode into a living record of the experience.
02
The full roster of artists Sandbox has hosted cycles through an evolving media experience, giving every name a place in the brand’s story rather than limiting the site to one year’s lineup.
03
Festival photography moves through a camera-roll inspired gallery, turning the moments between performances into an explorable archive shaped by the people who were there.
04
Sandbox Presents gives club shows their own space without breaking the wider visual world, allowing the brand to stay active throughout the year.
05
A sleek, minimal storefront gives the products and release imagery room to lead, while carrying the same typography, spacing and visual language across the wider Sandbox experience.
06
Signup moments are built through the navigation, locations and closing journey, giving visitors a clear next step while the next festival remains under wraps.
07
The full-screen film, artist archive, moving gallery, merchandise, shows and signup journey are carefully reworked for smaller screens without losing the pace or identity of the desktop experience.
